Set among the Monterey Pines in Del Monte Forest, our chapel has long been a favorite place for weddings. The contemporary design of the chapel allows seating for up to 250 and features a stunning chancel wall of glass. With that beautiful backdrop, your wedding will seem to be in a sacred grove of ancient trees and hanging moss, with the delightful surprise of a swooping bird or wandering deer. Our church is a place of warmth, welcome and beauty—an ideal place for this momentous occasion.
One of the most difficult times for families is the death of a loved one. Church in the Forest clergy are available to provide spiritual guidance and comfort during dying, and to help plan and lead memorial rites. Memorial services can range from traditional church-based funeral services to smaller family-led gatherings off-site. As your family moves along the continuum of dying and grieving, please call us.
Each Sunday morning prior to the service of worship, you are welcomed to join an informal and vibrant group that studies that morning’s sermon passage. Led by our assistant minister, the Rev. Ken Feske, the group meets at 8:30 AM in the multipurpose room, adjacent to the chapel. Other small groups for study, prayer and fellowship are offered mid-week; please consult the church newsletter.
