Weddings are a high point in any family’s lives and at the Church in the Forest, we want to make sure that the wedding is a beautiful and memorable one. This is the bride’s day and our focus from the church and clergy point of view is to make that happen. The atmosphere both in the church and around it is something very special and creates an atmosphere of welcome and grace. Our ministers are also available to perform weddings at other locations of your choice.
One of the most difficult times for families is the death of a loved one. At the Church in the Forest, our clergy are available to both the church family as well as the greater community. A memorial service or celebration of the life of a person is a very sacred time when the church needs to be there for families. It is our belief that the style of a service or remembrance is driven and guided by the members of the family with the assistance and guidance of the clergy. Please feel free to call the church office anytime and we will be happy to assist.
Each Sunday morning prior to the service of worship, a Bible Study group meets in the multipurpose room at the entrance to the church. Our regular teacher is the assistant minister, the Rev. Ken Feske. The group goes through each book of the Bible and open discussion is encouraged and ideas shared. The Class begins at 8:30 am. Other educational opportunities are offered with a mid-week Study Group also led by Ken Feske.
