Wedding Music Form
Music sets a tone, stirs up emotions, and shares a message with your guests, The music you choose at your wedding is a reflection of the two of you as a couple.
The church’s professional music staff can provide live piano, organ and/or vocal music for your wedding. We can also arrange for other instruments with some lead time and there would be additional cost.
Please provide your preferences. Below are some options. A few weeks’ lead time for any special requests is appreciated in order to prepare music for your wedding.
Standard wedding music before the ceremony
- Beethoven – Ode to Joy
- Händel Water Music – Hornpipe, Air, Sarabande
- Johann Sebastian Bach –Jesu Joy of Man’s Desiring
- Johann Pachelbel — Canon in D Major
- Concert repertoire, such as solo piano works by Chopin, Brahms, Schubert
Standard Entrance/Exit (during the entrance/exit for bridal party)
- Wedding Music for pipe organ – These are very festive; titles are not recognizable, but the atmosphere is celebratory, similar to what you would hear at a royal wedding
- Richard Wagner – Bridal Chorus from “Lohengrin” – aka in English as “Here Comes the Bride”
- Felix Mendelssohn – The Wedding March — usually what is played in movies

- Solos with texts related to church weddings
- Popular songs that are played on spotify and playlists

Please note: Recordings with orchestras or wind instruments, drums or guitars, will seem a little different in terms of mood if played on piano or organ.
