These are gatherings where CitF members and friends can explore faith and deepen fellowship.
Small Group Bible Study
The Sunday Small Group Bible Study is on a hiatus. Typically we meet each Sunday morning at 9:00 am in the Multipurpose Room, where the topic is the sermon Bible lesson of the day.
Men’s Small Group Bible Study
Men’s Bible Study is meeting via Zoom, every Thursday 10:00-11:30 AM. Our current study is the Gospel of Mark. Newcomers are invited to sample a meeting of this committed and caring group of men. Contact Bob Axley, firstname.lastname@example.org.
Women’s Bible Study
Women’s Bible Study meets every other Thursday, 10:30 – 11:45 AM, now at the Beach Club, 1576 Cypress Drive, Pebble Beach. (Bring your facemasks for entering the club. We sit outside, so dress warmly, too.) We are studying the Book of Romans, a foundation for Christian faith, using the study guide, Be Right (Romans), by Warren. W. Wiersbe. Contact Pastor Joanne to get connected to each meeting.
CitF Women’s Small Groups
CitF Women’s Small Groups are all (almost) meeting in person — hooray! Please contact Pastor Joanne for more information about our four “Sisters” groups, with meetings available mornings, afternoons and early evenings.
CitF Book Club
The Church in the Forest Book Club takes on a wide range of books — from historical fiction to politics. Last month’s book, just completed, was There There, an account of Native American life in Oakland, CA, by acclaimed new novelist Tommy Orange. Join us for discussion and fellowship the first Wednesday of each month, 5:30-7PM. (Next date is May 5; contact Pastor Joanne for meeting information. We may be leaving Zoom for live meetings — return to fun!)
Sisters in the Forest
Sisters in the Forest is an open meeting for all women, sharing inspirational readings, application questions, and prayer. We are returning to meetings at the chapel, in person (on the deck, if weather permits, or in the chapel, with open doors if weather is too cool.) Newcomers are always welcome. Please contact Pastor Joanne for more information.
