Small Groups & Bible Study

SMALL GROUPS

These are gatherings where CitF members and friends can explore faith and deepen fellowship.

Small Group Bible Study

The Sunday Small Group Bible Study is suspended until social distancing requirements ease. Typically we meet each Sunday morning at 9:00 am in the Multipurpose Room, where the topic is the sermon Bible lesson of the day. (See “This Sunday” website page for that scripture lesson.)

——

Men’s Small Group Bible Study

Men’s Bible Study is meeting via Zoom, every Thursday 10:00-11:30 AM. Our current study is the Gospel of Luke with companion study guide Luke for Everyone by N.T. Wright. Questions? Contact Bob Axley, rjaxley@aol.com.

——

Women’s Bible Study

Women’s Bible Study meets every other Thursday, 10:30 – 11:45 AM, via phone-in or Zoom. We are currently studying the Book of Romans, a foundation for Christian faith, using the study guide, Be Right (Romans), by Warren. W. Wiersbe. Contact Pastor Joanne to get connected to each meeting.

——

CitF Women’s Small Groups

CitF Women’s Small Groups are meeting in person, or via phone-in and Zoom. Please contact Pastor Joanne for more information about our four “Sisters” groups, with meetings available mornings, afternoons and early evenings.

——

CitF Book Club

The Church in the Forest Book Club takes on a wide range of books — from historical fiction to politics. This month’s book touches on themes of poverty, racism and abuse, but gives us a happy ending: The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek, by Kim Richardson. It’s a New York Times bestseller, with over 11,000 rave reviews on Amazon. Join us for discussion, via Zoom, Wednesday, January 24, 5:30-7PM. (Note our new meeting day, a change from Fridays.)

——

Sisters in the Forest

Sisters in the Forest is an open meeting for all women, sharing inspirational readings, application questions, and prayer. We gather every other Thursday, 12 nooon through 1 PM. Currently we are meeting via phone-in and Zoom. Newcomers are always welcome. Please contact Pastor Joanne for more information.
